“Are peacoats still kosher? I have one that I bought in anticipation of a blustery Bay Area winter — don’t laugh, I’m a recent transplant. Anyway, it’s been in the 70s every day and am questioning whether I mightn’t just go with a lighter jacket. I love my peacoat but I’m not sure if they’re still fashionable.
Also, I have a black cotton/cashmere V-neck sweater (obviously not a severe plunge, just normal V-neck, slightly less dramatic than a V-neck t-shirt) that a couple people told me was “gay” which was surprising, since it had gotten some pretty good reviews with a different group of friends in another city. What’s the deal here? I don’t pretend to be a fashion maven but I know when I like something that looks good. I also know that it’s subjective and some people think they look great in jean shorts, sandals and black socks, but it doesn’t mean they shouldn’t get clubbed for wearing it. Where do I stand? ”
Yes, peacoats are still very much in fashion. If they’re not in your area, revive them! Be a trendsetter.
