As I promised I am back and with some new pictures for you to feast your eyes on. Crooks & Castles is about doing things differently so lets see how they really do it.

Nothing says street wear like dookie rope gold chains. For those of you who don’t know dookie ropes are the fatter of the chain links pictured on the shorts above. Chain link has been featured on many different types of garments but I have never seen it on shorts. Let alone the classic dookie rope. I applaud Crooks & Castles for thinking way out of the box with this one because there may have been others in the past who thought of this print but they never had the nerve to do what Crooks & Castles did.

Here we have another logo remix. This time the designers at Crooks & Castles took on the well known fashion house of Gucci. The C’s above display both the signature Gucci chain link and red and green stripes. Also featured on this shirt is a large red hibiscus in the dead center of this shirt following along with the island theme we saw in one of the t-shirts from the last segment. I guess they are really feeling the aloha spirit at Crooks & Castles

I’m not quite where to start with this particular t-shirt. I wouldn’t like it if I saw a guy with this shirt on, I guess just because I really don’t feel the need to stare at a half naked woman on a t-shirt no matter how many snakes are wrapped around her face because that is what those squiggles are just in case you were wondering. I don’t want to say that I don’t feel like this shirt is appropriate because that would make me sound old but this definitely doesn’t sit well with me. I am in no way discouraging anyone man or woman from buying and enjoying this fine shirt I just don’t think I would get this for even the worst dressed man in my life.

This hoodie, playfully named “The Crops Hoody” is hands down my favorite. The main reason this piece is my favorite is because it is distinctly Crooks & Castles. This is not like their other designs whose inspiration comes from the popularity of other logos. If you look close you can see the C embroidered over a cannabis leaf which I think is a great way to embellish a hoodie without being too cheesy. The teal and purple combination is all Crooks & Castles and no one else. I love to see guys wearing more color. While a brand new hoodie doesn’t sound practical right now being that it is summer as a street wear label it is important that Crooks & Castles not limit themselves to weather and season constraints. Besides most of the men I know would not turn down a nice hoodie during any time of the year.
I will be the first to admit I do not know much about mens wear and even more so about mens street wear. But I am learning, and learning quick. Crooks & Castles has opened my eyes a little in respect to the types of graphics that men will shell out good money for. For such a young label I think they are doing big things and will continue to grow bigger and better.
Their one model makes me laugh. Is he someone associated with the designer like a brother or something??
