The resort collections are here for 2009! Resort is just a fancy way of saying summer collection without being pigeon holed by temperature concerns. Often resort collections offer a wide range of styles to wear while on vacation or holiday, everything from swimsuits to sweatshirts can be found in a resort collection.
Today we will view the selections from the Chanel 2009 resort collection that caught my eye.

Of course there were a few suits in the 2009 Chanel resort collection. The influence of Karl Largerfelds personal style is evident. This particular suit along with the others, looks very similar to Largerfeld’s iconic daily uniform of all black with some sort of small neck adornment. This suit to me is just o.k. It just feels like something I have seen before. I am not saying that as a bad thing I just feel like there’s a little more repetition than necessary.

This grey ombre one piece reminds me of an x-ray with no bones. It’s a little plain but I like it. The color is different from what you would normally see in swimwear and that is to be commended. Not everyone wants to wear bright colors just because its summer. If you are one of those people start saving your money for 2009 now and you just may be the only one in grey on the beach.

I want this swimsuit so bad. Chanel has drained all the sticky sweet from this candy stripe. The colors are beautifully muted thus giving us another option away from traditional bright summer stripes. If I had this suit I don’t think I would even bother going into the water, I would just sit around the pool looking good.

Is this silver or grey? I guess it doesn’t really matter because this dress is so cute. Just wait you will see some starlet in this dress eventually, I can feel it. This draped dress is silky and flowy without being too Grecian instead it just feels really modern.

I have been drooling over the majority of Chanel’s 2009 resort collection but this dress brought me back down to earth. There’s a couple of looks with these nude feather on them. I am not a fan. I don’t know what’s supposed to be going on with this dress. I know it’s a dress but it feels like a little girls nightie. I do like those shoes though.

Upon further review of the Chanel’s 2009 resort collection I feel there is so much more to see and talk about so I am going to just make this a two part series. So far what we have seen has delighted and confused me. I can only hope that the remainder of this collection will delight me further. I have bad mouthed Karl Lagerfeld in the past but for the most part he has my full support with this collection. Please stand by for continued coverage of the 2009 Chanel resort collection.
